IR light off 6:41:35; rainy morning, no eaglets or eagles seen as of 10:00am;
B9 in BSD 11:20:50 & heads for nestover pelt 11:21:14; B8 flies behind nest
11:21:30; B8 in BSD 11:22:00; B8 snatches the pelt from B9 11:22:18 & food
fight commences (with B9 winning); B8 goes for the steal 11:24:40 & wins
the prize after a brief skirmish & tug-of-war; B8 hops to the Y-nook with
the pelt 11:29:23; B9, miffed at the taunting and determined to get back his
ill-begotten goods, moves in for the steal 11:29:26 & gets it! B8 nurses
his/her wounded pride and nonchalantly turns his/her back on B9 11:30:39; B8
methodically puts a recovery plan in action and feigns interest in the sky
11:32:09; B8 casually hops to the Y-nook 11:32:31 then goes back to the nest
11:32:54 to slowly move in on B9; after several laid back attempts showing
slight interest, B8 initiates his/her bid to recover the pelt 11:34:53 but
prize is firmly in B9's talons; B8's next attempts are just as futile
11:36:02 & 11:36:10 but B8 makes a great strategic move & grabs the
pelt while B9 has his/her guard down 11:36:38; B9's turn to move close &
look casual 11:37:40; B9 gives a good tug 11:38:17 but B8 has it secured, tries
again 11:38:44; B9's persistence pays off with the steal starting at 11:38:56;
both eaglets are distracted by something flying around 11:40:20; the rising
wind is calling, so B8 jumps to the Y-nook 11:42:38; B8 decides to go for the
pelt & hops to the nest to try to take it 11:43:41 but B9 defends and holds
onto it; pouting B8 watches in disbelief as B9 tries to swallow the pelt
11:44:36; B9 has to take smaller bites and turns his/her back on B8 11:45:12;
B8 goes to the LB to plot 11:46:27; B8 hops back to the nest 11:46:56 a tries a
weak attempt at a steal; B9 moves the pelt to the left rail 11:47:20; B8 moves
in on B9 11:48:35 but gets distracted by something nearby; B8 once again shows
interest in B9's prize 11:57:47 but opts not to make a move; B8 dances across
the nest 11:51:33; B8 tries for a steal 11:52:23 but clever B9 blocks the move;
B8 looks out the BD 11:53:16; B8 hops across nest to LB 11:53:41 B8 moves up
Cam 1 branch & bites at camera 11:53:49, tapping out in Morse code
something about how aggravating younger siblings can be and why can't eaglets
stay at home to be waited on beak to talon until they get white heads and
several other messages that only eagles could interpret; finished with his
distress messages and close-up photo ops, B8 hops back to the nest 11:59:34 as
B9 attempts to swallow pelt again; B9 taunts B8 with the pelt by running across
the nest 12:00:08; B8 ignores B9 and hops to the LB 12:00:23 & flies off
12:00:26; B9 doesn't want to miss an opportunity to pester B8 so hops to Cam 1
branch 12:00:57 & flies off 12:01:00; squeeing eaglet flies by 12:48:43
& 12:48:51; B9 in BD 12:49:01 and appears crest-fallen that no new food has
magically appeared; B9 lays down 12:50:40; B9 gets up 12:52:01 and watches B8
flyby 12:52:10 & land in tree behind nest; B8 half-heartedly plays with a
stick 12:52:53; B8 takes off from back right tree 12:54:16 as B9 watches
closely; B9 takes off at front door 12:54:45; B9 in BD 1:10:30 still hopeful
that the food fairy has been by but is disappointed again; B9 finds some
stringy squirrel scraps 1:11:34 & begins to eat; B9 starts swallowing the
pelt 1:20:01 & finally gets it down; B9 tests a vegan diet & tries a
pinecone 1:22:40 then lays down 1:23:32; B8 in FD 1:24:45, B9 is startled &
the kids squabble; B9 to 10:00-branch 1:25:43; B8 to Y-nook 1:26:03; B8 back to
nest 1:26:53 & lays down to wait for P's to bring food 1:26:59; B9 B8 gets
up 1:29:xx & heads back to Y-nook 1:29:27 to watch something w/interest; B9
hops back to nest 1:30:15 & lays down as B8 continues to scan the area to
the left & in front of the nest; B8 squees loudly 1:31:50 & B9 jumps up
to join in; M in BD w/fish 1:32:16 and after a mad scramble, B8 ends up with
it; B8 asserts her claim by firmly putting a talon on the fish 1:34:07; B9
squees in frustration 1:34:44; B9 hops to LB 1:35:07 (to be closer to the
fish); as B8 eats, B9 turns to M to put in his/her fish delivery order 1:26:16;
B8 shakes head & throws B9 a bite (prob unintentional) 1:47:40 but B9
ignores the crumb & complains to M; B9 stares longingly at the B8 & the
fish 1:44:27; M rouses 1:45:13 & kids squeal; M to LB 1:47:56 & flies
off 1:48:01; B9 goes to nest 1:57:20 for some fish, but B8 swallows it so B9
has to settle for crumbs; B8 lays down 2:01:07; B9 lays down 2:04:22; B9 gets
up 2:40:35 & does some nice stretches; B9 PS 2:41:31; B9 to LB 2:41:50; B9
to Cam 1 branch for close-ups 2:44:xx & bites at cam lens 2:45:35 -
2:48:15; B9 moves over new branch & bites at cam housing 2:48:20 tapping
out a Morse code message about the unfairness of having to eat a squirrel pelt
while B8 got a fresh fish; B9 furiously finishes tapping out secret messages
12:54:24; B9 moves up to higher branch 2:54:22 ; B8 flies off 2:58:35; B8
starts squeeing 3:07:45; D in BD w/big fish 3:07:53 & B8 is there to grab
it; D gets out of the way 3:07:05; B9 in BD & D jumps to LB 3:08:07; B9
gets the food 3:08:11; B8 to LB 3:08:36; D flies off 3:09:01; B8 moves up LB
& out of view 3:09:36; B8 to nest 3:11:46; M in BD w/squirrel 3:24:24 &
B8 is there to grab it; D gets out of the way 3:07:05; B9 in BD & D jumps
to LB 3:08:07; B9 gets the food 3:08:11; B8 to LB 3:08:36; D flies off 3:09:01;
B8 moves up LB & out of view 3:09:36; B8 to nest 3:11:46; M in BD
w/squirrel 3:24:24 and B8 comes up with it after the feathers settle; M offers
B8 a bite 3:25:30; B9 moves to right side of nest 3:25:40 intending on
finishing the fish, but B8 grabs the fish tail 3:25:43 and begins eating it; M
moves to the squirrel 3:26:17 but B8 drops the fish & grabs the squirrel;
B8 decides to keep the fish 3:26:33 & M work on squirrel 'sketti'; M pulls
the squirrel over & starts defurring 3:26:58; B9 moves over to yell at M
3:29:06; M feeds B8 3:31:03; then B9 steps up for a few bites 3:31:32; B9
steals the squirrel 3:32:41; M eats some nestovers 3:33:19; B8 moves over to
block B9 from M 3:34:18; B8 nips M's shoulder feathers 3:35:51 & 3:36:01
& 3:36:35; B8 to Y-nook 3:37:49; B8 to nest 3:39:08 & gets close to
squirrel as if waiting for B9 to feed her; B8 nips at squirrel 3:39:58 and B9
walks away 3:40:11…M checks nestover situation 4:12:19 & B9 snatches a big
bite 4:12:30; M eats 4:13:00; B8 lays down 4:14:44; M & B9 tug-a-war
4:20:17 & she lets B9 have it; M takes remaining squirrel from B9 4:15:57;
B8 & B9 play with a stick (?) 4:16:54; B9 hunkers down 4:18:04 &
rubs her rear; M feeds B9 a bite 4:18:21; B9 gets up 4:18:49; M swallows pelt
4:18:57 (gets it down 4:19:08); B9 to Cam 1 branch 4:20:38; M feaks on RB
4:21:06; M hops to LB 4:21:47 then moves up higher & flies out 4:21:56; B8
takes a nap 4:23:45 (not sure if B9 is still on a branch or flew off); B8 gets
up 5:14:46; B8 out BD 5:16:25
