EARLY MORN: M goes from LB to nest 12:17:04am; M & the kids are awake, B8 ps 1:51:21; M picks up fish 1:53:05am; M offers an early morning feeding 1:54 but kids don't seem to interested; B9 eats a few bites 1:59:19; B9 ps 2:45:50; M moves to try cover B9 as storm rolls in 2:48:48am; B8 sticks her head under M 2:49:39 and wind starts picking up; B8 moves further under M 2:52:23 & wind and rain get stronger; M uses wing to balance 2:53:05am & are babies chirping (B9 is out from under M); B9 sits up to look at the rain 3:56:00am; B9 tucks his head under M 3:56:36am; M flaps rain off her wings & B9 does a PS 4:44:06. MORNING: M moves to the pantry & grabs the fish 6:43:25; breakfast time as she starts feeding B8 6:44:00; B8 gets a big bite 6:44:36; IR light off 6:46:11; B9 eats breakfast 6:49:30; M to LB 6:57:47; M out as kids lay together 6:58:00am; kids asleep until 7:41:26 then B9 crop dropped 7:41:26; both start to get up and B9 gives a bonk to B8 7:43:02, & of course B8 puts him in place by bonking back; B8 crop drop 7:43:45; B9 gets up again 7:45:58 for a big PS at 7:46:12; B8 finally gets up 7:49:50 for his big PS at 7:49:57; B8 rouses 7:50:21; B8 tracks as M comes in FD & perches on LB 8:04:00; M hops down to nest 8:36:24 and starts to feed B8; B8 gets a big bite 8:38:24 but M has to take it back & eat it herself; B8 PS 8:39:14; B9 snatches a bite 8:39:38; B9 finally getting fed by 8:41:30; B9 gets a big piece but M takes it back 8:43:20; M swallows fishtail 8:44:03-8:44:23; B9 PS 8:44:31; M to LB 8:46:11 & out 8:46:37; nuthatch or mockingbird on right side of nest 9:40:07 D lands on LB 9:40:24; M in BD w/fluff 9:40:35; D flies off without going to nest 9:41:05; B8 ps 9:41:50, B9 ps 9:42:26; M see D and starts calling 11:17:13; D in BD w/squirrel 11:17:53 (M squeees her thanks); D to LB 11:18:54 & out 11:19:02 and M immediately moves to the squirrel; M feeds B8 11:19:57; B9 has moved closer to the table 11:24:25 but M is distracted & watching something; B9 scoots around B8 & heads to the table 11:27:41; M offers B9 a bite 11:28:50 (she stills seems to be keeping her eye on something in area); kids seem to figure out M is distracted & both lay down 11:31:20am; feeding time w/B9 at the table first 12:01:09; B8 ps 12:03:29; M to LB 1:02:45 & out 1:02:54pm. S/C#1-D in to LB 1:03:45, D walks down LB 1:04:32 & jumps to nest 1:04:40; D offers a few bites to B8 1:05:09; B9 heads to the back of the nest for a nap 1:08:41; D out BD 1:58:10; kids rest for the next 1/2 hour or so then B9 sits up 2:28:08, spreads his wings & pulls something from the nest & drops it; B9 picks it up again, drops it, pecks & pokes around amusing himself 2:28:36; B9 crop drops 2:35:55; B9 waddles to right rail 2:36:06; B9 gnaws on rail stk 2:39:50, gets bored w/that & starts to preen, all the while B8 is zonked out at the front rail; both kids napping at 3:11:00; Ground report per Jimmy: When Dad left the nest around 2pm, there was a sub-adult in area. Dad has been chasing it around. Refused to leave area for a while, but don't see it now. S/C#2-B8 sits up tall 3:13:20 & tracks M as she flies in FD 3:13:32; M intently searches the sky for several minutes; M vocally alerts 3:16:38 & 3:17:48 & 3:23:33 & 3:24:21; D comes in & lands on LB 3:24:22 & vocalizes also; D rouses 3:31:14; B8 ps 3:32:11; D out 3:32:58; M feeds B8 nestover 3:43:13; Tug-a-squirrel between M and B8 3:48; B9 ps 3:53:39; M gives B9 a big piece 3:55:22; M out BD 4:51:30; M in BD w/fluff 5:08;51; M out FD as B8 does a ps 5:10:53; M in BD w/fluff 6:27:57; B8 ps 6:29:22; M find a nestover and pulls it to the pantry 6:43:21; B8 grabs a bite from in front of mom (self-feed) 6:44:16; M continues to feed B8; B9 moves in for some 6:47:35; M swallows nestover 6:50:45; D in BD w/squirrel 6:54:07; M takes squirrel to pantry 6:55:47; Feeds B8 6:56:19; B8 bonks B9 6:57:26; D to RB 6:57:46; D out 6:58:12; B9 finally gets some 7:04:00; IR on 7:15:04; M swallows rest of squirrel 7:21:07; B9 ps then snuggles next to B8 7:21:48.
