Bel's Nest Log

(80 & 78 days) Both babies mostly out on the branches this morning; one bites at the camera 6:52:38am; B9 flies straight up 7:35:41 & goes to a branch on the left side; eaglets up & down all morning (no parental visits as of yet); B8 plays w/stick toy 12:26:30; B8 pays B9 back for yesterday's antics by putting the stick on his/her back 12:27:43; B8 lays down & uses B9 for a pillow 12:29:03; B9 gets up 1:25:30 & hops to LB 1:25:45; B9 wingercises & hops to LB then to nest & back to LB 1:26:13 & back to nest; B8 gets up 1:27:05 while B9 flaps on the back crib rails 1:27:13; B98 flaps some more & almost steps off the back of the nest 1:27:48; B9 holds on to tiny back rail & flaps 1:28:39 & B8 goes to the LB 1:28:43; B9 goes to "new" branch on the back left side of nest 1:29:24; B8 hops to the nest to attack the stick toy 1:29:37; B8 on back rails stares at B9 on LBB (left back branch) 1:30:07 then B8 hops to LB; B8 back to nest 1:31:35 & almost joins B9 on LBB 1:32:01; B8 to LBB 1:32:33 then back to nest; B8 PS 1:33:00 then hops to LB 1:33:15; both babies are laying down to play w/grass 2:02:34, looking around & napping; B8 gets up 3:25:15, stretches & jumps to LB 3:25:31; B8 to nest 3:25:08 then slowly ventures out on LBB for a short time 3:35:17 before hopping back on the nest ten to the LB & back to nest; B8 drags some old scraps from the side of the nest 3:28:23 & B9 snatches part of it; B9 to LB 3:29:46; B9 hops to Cam1 branch 3:33:52 then to RB 3:32:10; B9 to nest 3:39:25 then back to LB and up & down to finally settle on nest next to B8; tug-of-war with nestovers 3:40:41 B8 won but then B9 stole it anyway; both babies are settled down for naptime again 4:19:17.
