6:48:37; M in LBD 7:25:23; B-left mantles & bites M's talon; BP stands
& wing stretches; B8 PS 7:27:28; IR light off 7:27:53; B9 PS 7:28:21; B9
wingercises 7:29:49; M to LB 7:30:41 & out 7:31:17; B9 plays with a stick
7:37:03 then a pinecone 7:18:19; B8 plays with a feather & then fluff
7:39:28; B8 digs in the nest 7:40:07; B9 goes over to help B8 7:40:55; M in FD
w/coot 7:53:42; M moves to coot over to the pantry to prep for breakfast
7:54:18; B9 nips at coot foot 7:54:26; M de-feathers coot 7:55:44; B8 tries to
grab a bite 7:56:32; M starts feeding B8 7:57:55; B9 nips at coot foot again
7:58:36 then B8 does; M only offers them a few bites but stops 7:59:31; Mom

8:09:21 (doesn't seem to be a lot to eat on the coot, not a really
"fresh" one)...M to LB 9:15:21 & out 9:15:30; D in BD w/squirrel
10:16:09 & B9 mantles; D starts feeding B8 10:16:47; B9 starts eating
10:17:34; D to LB 10:31:19, kids stare at D until he flies out 10:31:58; M in
BD w/fluff 11:35:54; M to LB 12:22:53pm & out 12:23:25; D in BD w/squirrel
12:29:24 & B9 rushes over to grab & mantle; D takes the squirrel back
12:30:15 & starts feeding B9, B8 comes over to watch; B8 starts to eat
12:34:05; D to LB 12:41:59; D out 12:44:12; D in BD w fish 2:45:30 & B9
goes for the grab/mantle again; B8 PS's 2:47:10 then steps up to be fed fish
2:47:20; D to LB 3:28:18 & out 3:28:26; D in BD 3:53:06 & immediately
moves a stick from the center of the nest; M's shadow passes right side of nest
4:30:30; D calls to M 4:30:49; M in LSD 4:30:53; D to RB 4:34;25 & out
4:35:37; M feeds B9 some nestover squirrel scraps 7:26:44; IR light comes on
7:56:15pm & wind picks up as storm comes through; strong wind gusts start
at 7:57:22; kids hunker down & M throws her wing out to keep her balance
7:57:43-7:57:53; B8 sits up & tries get over to M 7:58:16; B9 turns &
scootches toward M 7:58:50; B8 tries to hunker under M 7:59:12; as winds buffet
the nest M tries to cover her babies 8:03:51; B9 squirms under M 8:08:31; B8
pulls her head from under M and looks out 8:08:52 & B9 takes advantage
& gets all the way under M; lightning flashes & B8 dives under M 8:10:03;
worst of storm has passed by 8:30pm; M starts extracting herself from the kids
9:08:02; kids look around 9:08:29; M shakes off some rain 9:08:48; B8 PS
9:09:06 then semi-rouses 9:09:16; M to LB 10:52:30pm; M rouses on LB
11:23:57pm.
