M vocal 3:44:19am & D chatters back; M to LB 4:17:20; M back to nest 4:27:40; quiet on nest 6:23:00; M picks up fish skull & stretches wings 7:22:43am; M digs in nest 7:23:50; eaglets move over to stick their head under M 7:24:58; IR light off 7:44:22; M to LB 8:17:36 & out 8:17:41; B8 stands up & wingercises 8:17:58; D in BD w/coot 8:37:24; D feeds B8 8:38:00; B9 PS 8:38:21; D rouses 8:44:39 then gets back to feeding B8 as B9 watches; B9 starts getting fed 8:49:16, then D feeds both; B8 PS 8:58:17; D to LB 8:58:29 & out 8:58:37; M in BD w/greenery 9:47:28; M places greenery near kids 9:47:48 then starts beakdozing the nest; M feeds nestover coot to B9 & & herself 9:50:03; B9 PS's over B8 9:50:59; B9 moves to be next to B8 9:52:00; M takes a bite over to B9 9:53:18; M to LB 9:57:28 & out 9:57:36; M in BD 10:11:51; M to LB 11:32:30 & out 11:32:41; B8 PS 11:33:40; B9 PS 11:35:39; D in BD 12:59:48pm; D pulls something out of the pantry 1:00:04 & feeds B9 1:01:22; B8 PS 1:04:54; D to LB 1:16:07 & out 1:16:13; D in BD w squirrel 3:17:08; D starts feeding B9 3:17:30; B8 starts eating 3:18:31; Per JimmyP's ground report: Dad was on the nest, a sub-adult eagle came in wanting to steal the food D brought in. Sub tried to land on nest, but dad wouldn't let that happen. The sub landed in a tree behind the nest, and as soon as mon showed, D went after it. Mom gave chase, briefly, Dad returned to the nest. Cam 1 times of event: D alerts 3:22:30; D mantles & flaps like crazy 3:23:28; kids lay low in the nest as D continues alerting; D vocal again 3:32:06; kids still laying low in the nest when D vocally alerts again 3:48:00; D flies out BD to give chase 3:48:38; D in BD still vocal 3:49:33. Alert over, kids sit up 3:57:33 and D resumes feeding B9 3:58:50; M in left side door w/small stick 4:21:12 & she takes over the feediing; D out BD 4:22:17; wind has picked up & makes for a tricky landing as M jumps to LB 6:09:44 & out 6:09:54pm; M in BD w/talons full of fluff 6:18:30; M spreads fluff 6:18:51; B9 PS 6:34:55; B9 moves greenery 6:36:55 & then plays with it; M to LB 6:51:01 & out 6:51:09; B8 attacks & plays with greenery 6:53:26; B8 moves greenery over to see if B9 wants to play 6:54:14 but B9 is busy playing with fluff; B8 picks up greenery & gets B9's attention 6:55:02 (cute antics); B9 PS 7:50:48; B9 plays with greenery 7:51:52; M in BD 7:53:16; B8 PS 7:55:19; babies are napping & M tucks her head to get some rest 8:19:30; IR light on 8:20:19pm.
